Donation Guidelines (No Consignment or Trade)

Housewares: Kitchen dishes, countertop appliances, Knick Knacks and art.

Appliances: Must be in complete working order; Ten years or newer; No repairs needed; All parts intact; Must be clean and free of mold, stench and rust.

Doors and Door Hardware:  Doors free of bowing and twisting, no holes or gouging, no water damage or splintering. Door lock and knob sets must be complete.

Drywall: New, free of damage, 4x4 minimum, no broken corners.

Lighting/Electrical Fixtures/Fittings/Wire: No broken pieces/glass, ready to use; Ceiling fans complete and functional, all pieces intact. NO FLOURESENT FIXTURES OR BULBS.

Flooring: Laminate flooring, linoleum, tiles and carpet. Boxed or rolls only. No individual pieces.

Furniture/Cabinets: No rips, tears or stains. Must be in sound condition, no need of repairs.

Insulation: New only, in rolls or batts. Must be contained in box or bag for handling safety.

Plumbing Fixtures-Faucets/Settings: All faucets and potable fixtures must be Lead Law compliant (within the last 3 year and stamped lead free). Pipe-minimum 6ft. lengths

Tools: Power tools must be in good working order, hand tools in sound condition.

Windows: Vintage or New Wood frames and vinyl frames only (no aluminum frames). Double pane only. Good working order, no condensation or broken seals. No rot or nails.

Lumber: Free of nails, no twists or bows. Rule of thumb, 5ft lengths or longer.

Carpet: Usable areas only, clean and free of staples. Please try to document sizes for us.

Toilets/Sinks/Tubs: New condition only; white finish only; hospital clean with all working parts.

Donation Items We Do Not Take
The donation of questionable items will be at the discretion of the store manager, donations team and pick-up drivers.


·         Any appliance over 10 years old

·         Entertainment Centers

·         Unframed mirrors and unframed glass

·         Office chairs - other than high-end type. Worn out office chairs just don’t sell.

·         Wood Burning and Gas Fireplace Inserts

·         Glass Shower Doors

·         Dishwashers

·         Range hoods – unless NEW or stainless steel

·         Water Heaters

·         Water Softeners or water filtration systems

·         Medicine cabinets

·         Brass fans or brass light fixtures

·         Under cabinet microwaves (free standing only)

Building Materials

·         Fluorescent Light Fixtures (and bulbs) and Canister Lighting

·         Flooring not in complete boxes or bundles of 12 like pieces

·         Carpeting remnants that are used and/or less than 10’x10’ or used/stained

·         Tile not in complete boxes – no pieces

·         Wood less than 5’ in length - no scraps or nails in it

·         Metal framed windows

·         Window screens

·         Hollow core doors, unless new or nearly perfect condition

·         Mirrored or Accordion Closet Doors

·         Gutters unless new

·         Solvents/Cleaners/Chemicals/Paint

·         Used PVC – new only

Pet Supplies of ANY kind
including pet carriers, fish tanks, etc.


Automotive: We do not take any automotive items except snow chains.


Children’s items, including: Toys, Car Seats, Cribs, Strollers, Safety Related Items, etc.

Bathroom Fixtures – Cast Iron Sinks or Tubs; Toilets in colors other than white or with ANY staining.

Household Items – Books; Clothes; Holiday Items of any type; Vacuums or mops

Tools - Non-working or rusty hand tools

Lawn and Garden – Irrigation drip systems parts and pieces

Sporting Goods – Includes Exercise equipment; Safety Equipment including Life Vests and Helmets of any type; Skis and Ski gear; Golf items; Roller Blades, pogo sticks and Skateboards; Sports balls like tennis balls and basketballs

Electronics and Multimedia – includes computers and office machines such as fax, modems and WiFi routers; TV’s other than flat screens; Phones of any type; Speakers, Record players, VHS, DVD or cassette players
