Despite the rain, the construction team has made great progress and the subfloor and first-floor walls are up! Volunteers, including Angela and her family members, have continued to improve site conditions. Ralphie’s Concrete Service also returned to help with the pour and concrete finishing for the garage.

We welcomed several new construction volunteers to the site over the last month. Ed, a friend of Habitat for some time, has been a welcome addition to our construction team. We are also grateful for Rene who has also joined the group on Saturdays. The rain has dampened the construction schedule this month but thanks to the flexibility of volunteers, building has continued on dry days.

Recently, Angela shared her joy at the progress made by the construction crew. “It’s really happening!” she messaged along with selfies of her and the construction volunteers. She is thankful and also in awe of the building process.

Thank you to the Robinsons for generously supporting our construction efforts by providing coffee for the construction site. The fuel and warmth are appreciated by volunteers and staff.

It takes a village to build a Habitat home and we could not do this without the support of the dedicated construction crew. Thank you for braving the winter weather to make home a reality for Angela and her family.
