On October 26th ReStore personnel participated in the Nevada County Military Appreciation Day held at the Veteran’s Hall in Grass Valley. There were multiple inspirational speakers ranging from family members to military command personnel. ReStore is proud to honor all of those who have so selflessly served and continue to serve our nation. Nevada County Habitat is blessed to have so many veterans and their families actively volunteer and support the Habitat mission, proving that service is a lifelong commitment. We are thankful for their service then and now.

Utah’s Place/Hospitality House/Sisters Closet. Frequently when ReStore receives furniture donations, donors will leave various articles of clothing in the drawers or cabinets. When that happens, your ReStore wants to ensure that every bit of all donated items can be re-purposed, even if it’s not through Habitat. While ReStore doesn’t sell clothing, we make sure that the clothing items go to where they are needed most. In October ReStore donated multiple boxes & large bags of cold weather clothing to Hospitality House. One of our longtime ReStore staff members, Shelly Childs, helped in coordinating and organizing donations for Sisters Closet. Sisters Closet is a service administered by Twin Cities Church and offers a festive and social event for Clothing Swap for those in need. These events are always at no cost, and free childcare is provided. Bring clean reusable items to donate or just come to shop.

Interfaith Food Ministry. While our weather turns colder and a lot of us are starting to settle in and prepare our homes for the holiday season, ReStore customers continue to shine selflessly. Through your generous donations, ReStore was proudly able to donate 12-cases of dry goods/cans to help support Interfaith Food Ministries mission. We will continue to receive food donation on behalf of Interfaith throughout the holiday season.

Finally, keep ReStore on your holiday go-to for seasonal home décor! You may find just the right item to finish off a room or a holiday table at ReStore’s holiday display!
