| We celebrated a life-changing milestone on Thursday, March 5th in Grass Valley—Angel and his family cutting the ribbon on their new home. This special home dedication marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with stability, hope, and opportunity. We were honored to be joined by community leaders and partners who helped make this moment possible, including Lisa Swarthout (Nevada County Board of Supervisors), Tyler Barrington (Director of Housing and Community Services for Nevada County), Dana Jorgensen representing Assemblywoman Heather Hadwick’s office, and Yolanda Cookson representing Senator Megan Dahle’s office who both presented certificates to the homeowner in honor of this occasion. Also sharing in this celebration were Lorraine Larson (Executive Director, NCHFH), Tai Batov (Associate Director, NCHFH), Dina Rubino (President, Board of Directors), Ann Davis (Homeowner Committee Chair), Andy Kramer (Construction Chair), and Rev. Alexander A. Estrella (St. Patrick Parish), who offered a house blessing and presented a Bible to Angel. |
