Nevada County Habitat for Humanity is excited to welcome Daniel Tober to our team! Daniel brings a diverse and meaningful blend of professional experience to Habitat. His career began in Silicon Valley during the high-tech boom of the early 2000s, where he worked in Corporate Procurement and Logistics. Over the next 15 years, he built a strong foundation in corporate operations, supply chain management, and organizational systems.
In 2015, Daniel relocated to Nevada County, where he shifted his focus toward service-oriented work. He trained as a Substance Abuse Counselor and went on to serve individuals in Auburn, Nevada City, and Grass Valley for nearly seven years. His commitment to helping others continued in his most recent role with New Beginnings Gold Country, a nonprofit Christian re-entry program supporting men and women transitioning out of incarceration. There, Daniel was part of the management team overseeing finances, fundraising, and day-to-day operations, while also serving as a lead mentor in the men’s program.
Daniel recently returned to Nevada County to be closer to his family. He is grateful to once again be part of this community and is looking forward to serving local families through Habitat’s mission.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys weightlifting and staying active, but his greatest passion is studying the Bible. He dedicates time each day to reading, prayer, and listening to sermons, with the long-term calling of teaching and preaching as a pastor. We are thrilled to have Daniel’s heart for service, leadership experience, and strong community focus on the Habitat team. Please join us in giving him a warm welcome!
