“Nevada County Habitat for Humanity is truly blessed to have so many people with big hearts support our mission,” says Lorraine Larson, Habitat’s Executive Director.

Despite having to pivot from a live event to online just a month away from the event date, Street of Dreams 2021 was a resounding success thanks to the tremendous generosity of Habitat’s donors, sponsors and volunteers. In fact, this generosity has led to Habitat raising more than half of its year-end goal of $150,000 – the funds needed to help complete the Park Place neighborhood.

“Events like Street of Dreams don’t just happen,” says Jim Phelps, Habitat’s Development Director. “We are incredibly grateful for all of the volunteers who gave so much of their time and effort to make this event possible. From donation collectors to those who helped put the auction together, Street of Dreams doesn’t happen without them.”

Special thanks to the volunteer team: Pat Miller-Fee, Evelyn Naake, Mary Sperlazza, Diane Wright, Carol Frausto, George Carter, Mike and Tommi DeMello, Lanea Cahill, Shawna Crutchfield, Rick and Trish Ballantyne, Ellen Hagen, Carol Jordan DeWein, Charlie and Lissa Luckinbill, Michael Larson, Gina Montejano and Ellen Baxter.

Street of Dreams is made possible by the generous support of the event’s sponsors:

Oak Tree: B&C Ace Hardware, Coldwell Banker Grass Roots Realty, El Dorado Savings Bank, Loma Rica Center LLC (in memory of Don and Pat Litchfield), Owens Estate and Wealth Strategies Group, and River Valley Community Bank.

Oak Branch: C&D Contractors, Diamond Pacific, Grocery Outlet, Holt of California, KNCO, Telestream, and The Union.

Oak Leaf: Diamond Truss, Ralphie’s Concrete Services, Sierra Plumbing Supply, and Tri Counties Bank.

Acorn: Absolute Communications Solutions, Aja Video Systems, Caliber Collision, Premier Floor Covering and Tile Center, Sierra Crest Doors and Milling, and Mike Bratton State Farm Insurance.

And, of course, we’d like to thank everyone who participated in the online auction and all of those who (so far!) have raised their paddle to Build A Dream! Your generosity and support is valued and much appreciated.

If you haven’t yet done so, there is still time to raise your paddle! Just go to StreetofDreams.Live. While there please take time to get to know our two amazing Park Place homeowners by watching their interviews. Both are currently working hard to complete their sweat equity commitments.

We look forward to Street of Dreams 2022…live and in-person (we hope)!
