Street of Dreams is back live and in-person, Thursday evening, September 23rd, at Miners Foundry in Nevada City!

“It’s been nearly two years since we’ve been able to gather as a community,” says Lorraine Larson, Nevada County Habitat’s Executive Director. “I think we’re all ready to re-engage safely and celebrate.”

2021 marks the 15th anniversary of this popular event in which the accomplishments of the organization are celebrated while raising money for current and future housing projects. The 2021 version also marks a homecoming of sorts as it returns to Miners Foundry in Nevada City – which was home to the event from 2009 until 2014.

The event will once again feature ace auctioneer Gary Lorentzen, who will conduct what should prove to be a spirited and entertaining evening. Another favorite of attendees, the silent auction, is back in full force with a decidedly local flair – another way of celebrating community, with most of the items coming from the generosity of local businesses and individuals.

Attendees will also hear from Habitat homeowners during the event as they recount how the Habitat experience has changed their lives.

General admission tickets ($50) will become available on August 2nd. Tickets may be purchased by contacting Brooke Batanic at (530) 274-1951 or at Nevada County Habitat ReStore. Tickets may also be purchased online here.

Sponsorships for Street of Dreams are still available. Contact Jim Phelps at (530) 206-8205 or by email for more information.

All net proceeds from Street of Dreams go directly to the building of safe, decent and affordable homes with local families.
