Get Ready for Your Role

Check-In Team

Quick Flow:
- Ask for last name → pull paddle
- Check colored slips:
- ORANGE: Payment needed
- YELLOW: Missing info (complete form, place in Evelyn’s box)
- Confirm table assignment (on paddle)
- Direct guests upstairs to greeters
- Provide paddle + program
Walk-Ins:
- Double-check list first
- Collect payment ($50 Habitat volunteer / $60 guest)
- Assign blank paddle + table
- Complete pink contact form → place in file tray
CHECK IN TRAINING
Greeters / Hosts

Responsibilities:
- Direct guests to correct check-in area
- Welcome guests at stairs (bottom + top)
- Check paddles for table assignments
- Guide guests to seating
- Answer basic event questions (schedule, bar, restrooms, auction areas)
GREETER TRAINING
Runners

Process:
- Line up stage right and wait for signal
- Locate items (color-coded areas: B, G, A)
- Double-check bid sheets + item location
- Deliver item → confirm with guest → get signature
- Give WHITE copy to guest, return YELLOW copy to checkout
Important:
- Stay focused—runners only run
- Can’t find item? Ask Daniel
- Do NOT include stands/easels with artwork

Steps:
- Highlight winning bidder (YELLOW on top copy)
- Pull bottom copy → write & circle bidder number
- Leave top form with item
- Bring bottom forms to checkout
- Collect all pens from tables

What You’ll Do:
Serve drinks and keep things running smoothly.
Pricing:
- Wine: $8 glass / $28 bottle
- Beer: $6
- Soda: $2
- Water: FREE
Key Notes:
- Open wine as needed (max ~10 bottles at a time)
- 6oz pours (4 glasses per bottle)
- Bar closes during live auction
- Save drink tickets in cash box
- Keep tips separate
BAR TRAINING

What You’ll Do:
Process payments and complete transactions.
Tools: Square app (iPhone/iPad)
WiFi: GVVB-GUEST
Process:
- Ask for bidder number
- Review items + confirm accuracy
- Handle disputes (give forms to Evelyn, call leader if needed)
- Complete receipt (GREEN = taxable)
- Process payment (card, cash, or check to NC Habitat)
- Record payment details
- Signal runner + finalize transaction
TABLE CLOSER TRAINING
Raffle Team

Pricing:
- $10 = 1 card
- $25 = 3 cards
Process:
- Collect payment (cash, check, or card)
- Let guest choose cards
- Tear in half → guest keeps one, other goes in bowl
- Remind guests to keep their half for drawing
End of Night:
Return all money, supplies, and materials to Lisa
