Today, we honor the incredible legacy of President Jimmy Carter and his lifetime of service to Habitat for Humanity. His unwavering commitment to affordable housing has inspired countless volunteers and donors in our community and beyond.
Since 1984, the Carter Work Project has united 108,100 volunteers to build, renovate, and repair over 4,400 homes in 14 countries, raising global awareness about the critical need for affordable housing. President Carter’s example of putting faith into action has been a beacon of hope and compassion.

On behalf of our staff and Board of Directors, we extend our deepest condolences to the Carter family. We are humbled by his legacy and remain committed to continuing his work. Rest in peace, President Carter—you will forever inspire us.

With Gratitude,
Lorraine Larson
