Nevada County Habitat for Humanity is looking for construction volunteers who want to help build affordable housing for hard working local families. Volunteers at our construction sites come from all walks of life—some with building skills; many others with just a desire to learn and give back. Fill out our volunteer form!
But keep in mind that, here at Habitat, the work we do isn’t limited to the construction site. While our build volunteers make up a large and critical part of the team, there are many other ways to serve based on your interests and skills. NC Habitat's Restore
Have fun, give back to the community, and meet lots of interesting folks. ReStore volunteers are a very friendly bunch, must be “people people” and have a desire to solve problems. Report to the Store Manager and usually works in 4-hour shifts.

No experience is necessary, just a willingness to work and be a part of Habitat’s mission. We are looking for volunteers who can work somewhat regular, but flexible, hours – either one or two days per week. Our regular and consistent volunteers receive a significant discount as a thank you for joining our staff and helping us make a difference in our community (some restrictions apply). Our ReStore is open from Tuesday to Saturday 9am-6pm.
Construction Site
Lunch Provider
Help in providing lunches for Habitat’s volunteer construction crew at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and/or Saturdays.
• Lunches for 12 to 15 workers.
• A meal, sandwiches, etc., as well as goodies/snacks.
NC Habitat Office
Office Volunteer
Help in the Habitat office on weekdays:
• Answer the phone.
• Check e-mail.
• Help with copying, filing, mailings and general office tasks.
• Help out at NC Habitat events.
