Novelis, a global producer and recycler of aluminum products, and Habitat for Humanity have joined forces for an impactful green initiative. Novelis is driven by its purpose of shaping a sustainable world together. They will be providing recycling containers and monetary grants to help your Nevada County Habitat for Humanity build affordable homes locally. Help Nevada County Habitat by bringing your aluminum cans to the ReStore now through July 31, 2023.

In addition to receiving the Novelis grant, cans collected locally will be recycled and all funds raised will benefit our local Habitat partner families. If your local businesses, school group, or community group would like to help raise awareness about the importance of Habitat and recycling in our community reach out to Jennifer Cordova at to learn about partnering.

Please note that locations for the collection areas will be posted on our Facebook soon, so start collecting your cans now! By encouraging local communities to recycle with Nevada County Habitat, you are helping make our community a better place for everyone. Your effort contributes towards Nevada County Habitat building local safe, decent, and affordable homes and increasing local neighborhood sustainability.
