Build Day with Granite Construction

Friday March 8th 2024, International Women’s Day, which coincided with Women in Construction Week, Nevada County Habitat partnered with Granite Construction to empower through building.

The 2024 Granite Construction build sponsorship supports building more Habitat homes in Nevada County! Thank you to Granite Construction for your initiative in generosity and for leading with action by giving your staff the opportunity to build side by side with Nevada County Habitat. With the Granite team’s support, future homeowner Angela and her support partner Judy had a productive day. The group worked to install flashing, secured seams on the house wrapping, and installed reinforcement hangers on the house trusses. The Granite team mentioned what a joy it was to work on the build site and expressed interest in returning! Angela was all smiles and has an infectious positive energy that is fun to be around. Working side by side together with volunteers was motivating and cemented the idea that as a community we have the power to uplift each other
