As Nevada County Habitat for Humanity celebrates 30 years of service, we are taking time to reflect on the lives changed, the homes built, and the community strengthened through affordable housing. What began as a vision rooted in partnership and possibility has grown into a lasting movement—one powered by volunteers, donors, and hardworking families coming together to build stability and hope.

For three decades, Nevada County Habitat for Humanity has been more than a homebuilder—we have been a community builder, creating pathways to self-reliant homeownership and stronger neighborhoods. Thanks to this community’s support, we are proud to celebrate meaningful milestones:

  • 209 people housed in 44 newly built homes
  • Four new homes rising in Grass Valley
  • Two homeowners who have fully paid off their mortgages

These accomplishments reflect what’s possible when a community commits to housing solutions that last—and they inspire us as we look ahead to the next chapter of building homes, opportunity, and belonging in Nevada County. Stay tuned throughout the year as we honor 30 years of impact, highlight the people behind the mission, and share what’s ahead for Nevada County Habitat for Humanity.
