1. We do not give homes away Homeowners purchase their homes and make affordable monthly mortgage payments –interest free, no-profit loans. Homeowners volunteer at least 500 sweat equity hours 2. Homeowner mortgages become income that Habitat uses to help build more homes The more we build, the more we’re able to build. Donations keep on working in the future as the cycle continues. 3. Habitat Homeowners are community members we all know. Working in a variety of professions and industries Habitat is 50 volunteers strong 4. Affordable homeownership is a secure, life changing housing solution – not a temporary fix 5. Donations to Habitat help the local economy because we spend locally: Building materials Services Landscaping City and County permits and government fees |
